I figured I'd try something new just to express myself in another way. I could write a long narrative of how I've been feeling for the last few months but I decided this would be the best way. Enjoy!!!!
They say good comes to those who wait.
But what if I've waited a whole lifetime for someone who couldn't relate.
My jealous tendacies are to hide my insecurities,
Because I can't picture a you without me.
And everybody around can't see,
The smile on my face and in my heart when you speak.
But sadly in reality that's just a cheap fantansy.
For I see in you, what you Cannot see in me.
And I have to respect that.
Opposite people don't always attract.
But how shallow of me to go on the attack.
When you were the specimen I felt that I lacked.
But I remember why I talked to you in the first place.
You were down and out and in a broken state.
It was I who saw that frown and wanted it erased.
And so began my current chase.
Although it appears to be over now.
You moving on is something I have to allow.
But the thing that inspires me the most is your smile.
And how it's like the laughter from the joy of a child.
So I begin this intervention.
Maybe you being happy is what I'm missing.
And if it's you talking your problems out while I just sit there and listen.
It's cool because I'm not trippin'.
In essence, just knowing you has been blessing.
Even if speaking to you only occurs while you are stressing.
I guess that's just a lesson that I have to learn.
And these ill feelings toward you I have to spurn.
As long as you are content with your life, it's cool to see,
How happy you are, even if it's without me.
